To help alleviate the budget problems your school may be experiencing A Gift of Knowledge, a fundraising division of Piccolo’s Books, known for their quality, but inexpensive, pre-owned books, will now travel to your school, providing an opportunity to support your teachers, classrooms and special event needs.

Piccolo’s Books understands how difficult it is to stretch a dollar to cover the funds necessary to give our children the education they deserve. Our Prime interest is promoting literacy and connecting the children; our future, to the books they need for a complete education.

Let us help shine the light on their path to knowledge! Host a Gift Of Knowledge Book Sale at your school. And earn $.25 on every book sold. We will deliver and set up 5000 quality pre-owned books, which we will then sell at $1 each (tax exclusive) on a cash basis only. (This allows you to collect your cash immediately at the close of your event!)

But wait, There’s More! If you sell 1250 books at your event, We will gladly donate 5000 soft cover kids books to your school. If you sell 2000+ books at your school we will donate 6000 soft and hard cover books to your school. All we ask from you is a letter saying “Thank you” for our donation.

Turn your words of expressions into Books & Greeting Cards

Young Poets between the ages of 12 and 18 are invited to perform two original poems’ competing for Cash & Prizes. One poem must be based on the theme “How to Bridge the Color Racial Line” and the second poem may have any theme.

Poets will have the opportunity to meet and question Authors, Literary Agents and Publishers. They will Discover How to Write a Book, How to Write for T.V., How to Get Songs Published and How to Break Into Journalism from Executives in the Industry.

All Contestants will have the opportunity to win book filled gift baskets, school supplies and more...
Finalist will have their poems published in the 2013 edition of “Voices in the City of Angels” by Inner Child Press.

Donating 25 Free Books to Every K-5 Elementary School Teacher in the Los Angeles County Between August 20th & December 14th, 2012

On December 15th at 5pm Piccolo’s Books will give away 500 Books  To 100 Elementary School Teachers

How to Enter:

• Go to Piccolo’s Bookstore @ The Howard Hughes Promenade
• Present verification of employment
• Pick Up your Gift Pack of 25 Books for your Grade Level.
• Receive lottery tickets to give away & Re-Print as Many as You like.

How to Win:

• Lottery Ticket must be presented with the Purchase of one (1) book
• Only One Ticket per visit can be used.
• The 100 teachers with the most Lottery Tickets Collected will win 500 Books for their class.

Administrator can submit on letterhead a list of Teachers to verify status or Teacher must present school letterhead verifying employment.
